In addition, Sauber-BMW have announced that they have indeed terminated their contract with Jacques Villeneuve, Robert Kubica now replacing the Canadian for the remaining races, as feared when the team announced that Villeneuve would not be racing in Hungary–though the reason then given was that the Canadian did not feel fit to race, following his crash (see details).
Who will be Sauber-BMW's Friday third driver, now that Kubica has been promoted to Villeneuve's race seat?
Incidentally, Fernando Alonso has reportedly said that he would like none other than Pedro de la Rosa as his team-mate, in 2007. Will the Spanish Champion have this much say in his new McLaren team?...
The MF1 Team has reportedly been in purchase negotiations with Dutch company Lost Boys, which has been involved in F1 sponsoring Jos Verstappen and also former Minardi.
