= No wins⁄poles up to when the drivers first line up for the 2006 Season. The number
inside the brackets represents the highest race finish or grid position, thus far.
Evidently there is no data yet available for the rookies (see the next page,
on which 2006 numbers are entered)
2005
= 2005 Drivers' Championship Order
1 Raced up to the San Marino Grand Prix, then relocated to a test role, exclusively. Finally, shortly before the Spanish GP, as his superlicence was withdrawn by the FIA, it was reported that Ide would no longer be lining up for the Super Aguri team, this Season.
3 Promoted to Franck Montagny's race seat at Hockenheim.
4 The July 9 news that Juan Pablo Montoya would be leaving F1, in 2007, to re-join Chip Ganassi, now in the popular American NASCAR Series, was immediately followed by McLaren's announcement that the Colombian's departure from his racing seat would be effective right away. Montoya's last F1 race was at Indianapolis, a track where the Colombian driver has won the famous Indy 500 race.
5 Promoted to Juan Pablo Montoya's race seat at Magny-Cours. Team test driver Pedro de la Rosa has been initially announced as Juan Pablo Montoya's replacement at McLaren, for the foreseeable future. In other words, the McLaren Team might hand the seat to another driver, before the Season is over, presumably
Gary Paffet, their other test driver.
6 Robert Kubica replaces reportedly physically unfit
Jacques Villeneuve in the Hungaroring.
