F1 Quotes
...and so they spake...
Yet more quote pages to be added! Stay tuned for the next eBook updates!
It is always interesting to look back at what has been said. It is at times enlightening, at other times ironic, or it may simply be amusing to check back. For, whether or not we like it, at the end of the day (as F1 drivers so often like to put it), Time always tells better than any of us ever can.
This eBook Section carries excerpts of what has been stated by F1 drivers and other F1-related personnel. Most of the Quotes are from the 2005-2006 off-season break onwards, since it should be fun to check back, as the 2006 Season unfolds, on what has previously been said.
Occasionally, a statement collected in former F1 Seasons is inserted, whenever meaningful or enlightening, such as here.
With very few exceptions (here is an instance), all teams and drivers were full of positive expectations, as they got ready for the new Season.
The Williams Team expected to be among the top three, Ferrari expected to be fighting again for the Title, Honda and Toyota expected multiple victories, Renault of course expected to defend their Titles, and so forth. The new MF1 Racing Team, it is worth singling out, took ambitious expectations to Bahrain: as they launched their new car, they announced that they would aim at taking the fight up to Red Bull Racing and BMW-Sauber, this Season! Can they, along the Season?...
(Incidentally, based on what criterion could one say that Red Bull Racing and BMW-Sauber enjoy a compatible level of performance and achievement, when BMW-Sauber was yet to race their first Grand Prix?... Can you understand the logic underlying MF1 Racing's statement? )
How many of all pre-season aims and foretellings may turn out to have been true prophecies, when later on, during the Season, we cast a look backward and check their many expectations, in view of what the teams and drivers are actually delivering?... And what might then be said, whenever the expectations do materialize – or whenever they are found not to correspond to reality?...
Related quotes will be added to this Section (and interlinked, whenever meaningful), as the Season unfolds. Likewise, other interesting or original quotes will be added, just as well, along the current Season. Stay tuned!
