The weather can play a relevant role in the outcome of sporting events, among which a Grand Prix.
The new rules, to be effective in 2003 will make the weather all the more important: the qualifying sessions will now be run in a specific order for the solo lap that each driver is allowed.
In other words, if a driver could previously choose when to go out for his qualifying laps, and base his choice on both track and weather conditions, now this is no longer possible.
In addition, we all know that whereas rain can be a disturbing factor to some, there are drivers who actually excel in the rain, among whom the Ferrari duo.
