4. How do the Hyperlinks in this eBook work?
Just like any other hyperlink (such as the ones displayed by a browser).
Please note: if you are using TreePad Viewer, a single click activates a hyperlink by default; whereas if you are using TreePad PLUS, TreePad SAFE or TreePad BIZ, then the default is a double click (the default can be altered in the Options screen, to suit your preference).
A practical advantage that you enjoy in this eBook is that there are hyperlinks to Web sites, and hyperlinks to different sections of the eBook, just as well.
Now, as all hyperlinks look the same, I've tried to keep it clear to you when a hyperlink is not internal, i.e., when it opens your browser to take you on line.
As a matter of fact, there are other hyperlinking possibilities in TreePad, in addition to the ones you find in this eBook (to a Web site, and to any section of the eBook). Here is the list:
Using TreePad, you can hyperlink to
- any file in your hard disk
- any directory in your hard disk
- any of the news groups (on the Web)
- any secure Web site (https://...)
- any e-mail address
- FTP
- user defined
- any telephone number (in the Biz version, only)
