(No less perplexing is the latter of these instances: there was nothing at stake, as Sauber would anyhow be adding one point to their tally, irrespective of their driver arriving 6th and 7th. What major requirement would then vindicate putting a promising young rookie inexorably through such disincentive?...)

In the unofficial Drivers' Standings below, both Barrichello and Massa are returned the points taken away from them in Austria and Germany, respectively, via team-orders. The points at stake are equitably withdrawn from M.Schumacher's and Heidfeld's official tallies.
