This eBook is meant to help you enjoy this World Cup to the brim, and later have a pleasant and useful piece of memorabilia. It was originally made for private use, so I could keep track of all the groups and matches, and have all the information easily accessible. Then it dawned on me that MieNet's guests could find my eBook useful and enjoyable, so I made it available on-line.

There were many updates, as the World Cup progressed (you can get the last version here). Now that the competition is over, you're the owner of a handy database containing the relevant information regarding the 2002 World Cup and other World Cups, as well!

It will be four years before the next World Cup comes 'round again, so you may enjoy storing and checking this data now and then, and perhaps adding your own, too!

You need TreePad Viewer in order to access this 2002 World Cup eBook. But if you are not reading this on line, at MieNet, then you have certainly downloaded your free TreePad Viewer!

Now, to add your own notes (instead of merely reading mine (please see here), you need to download TreePad PLUS, or TreePad Safe, or TreePad Biz, in addition (or instead). Differently from TreePad Viewer, which is yours for life, after you download it free, these are three shareware versions of the same basic program, that is, you can also download them free of charge, and try any of them for free, but just for about a month, or so.

Anyway, to make additions to this eBook, you need one of the shareware versions of TreePad.

Where can you add your notes? There is an entire tree branch, nicely formated with icons and images of country flags, that is reserved for your notes, pictures, links, and anything else you may find useful or worth remembering after the World Cup is over. This tree branch being also on-line, so as to give you a true idea of the eBook that you are downloading, you are welcome to send me your opinion, or wishes, etc., regarding your favorite Team(s), and I'll publish them on these pages, giving you full credit for what you send, evidently. Now, here's a tip: you can not only download any TreePad shareware for free, but also use it for free for about the same length of time as the World Cup lasts! So, why not?!;)... So, you download a free trial version of any of the TreePad shareware programs (more info here), and you can add comments, pictures, etc., to the current eBook. (As far as I know, these trial versions are fully functional, there being just a time-limitation in them.) When the World Cup is over, then you can just let it be.

You'll have spent no money and you'll have enriched your original 2002 World Cup eBook in the way it pleases you and makes this great competition all the more enjoyable to you! And all for free:)... After this, you can evidently access via your free copy of TreePad Viewer your World Cup eBook, and any other file that you may have made during your trial period.

Of course if you'd not wish to part with the TreePad (writer) that you have downloaded, you can just as well register your shareware copy then. Anyway, it is surprisingly affordable, especially considering the usefulness and quality of the program: registration is only the equivalent to 2-3 music CD's. This is really very little, considering the quality program that TreePad is.

Whatever your future plans might be, there is now plenty of space available for your own notes and images in this eBook , and you can certainly create new nodes (branches of the tree) -- as many as you wish -- for all sorts of extra notes and complementary data. And more... For example,you can make an entire 2002 WC photo-album, too, and then share with your friends via TreePad Viewer, just as I now share my World Cup eBook with you.

Here's another tip: take advantage of TreePad's autopaste function. Visit a lot of different Web sites, and keep copying the pages you browse (and TreePad will be automatically pasting all of them). Then you log off, sit back and enjoy what you've copied. This way you can also select anything that you find worth adding to your 2002 WC eBook. And the rest, once you've read it, you can of course simply delete.

This is just an idea for adding data to the original eBook that you are downloading at MieNet. TreePad is so flexible that you can just give wings to your creativity and find a lot of other ways to make this eBook and current World Cup all the more enjoyable to you!

Then, in the future, you'll have all the data nicely organized and always easily at hand (+ taking up very little disk space!). You can enjoy looking at it all, enjoy remembering the many thrills, etc! It will always be available for you to consult, whenever you may need to refresh your memory on a detail or another.

If you decide to add your notes + data to the original eBook you are downloading, and then you also come by to get the updates I'll be making available on line till the World Cup is over, here is a suggestion from an old TreePad user:

- import every updated version as a branch of the main tree into your original version (TreePad offers a number of import/export possibilities). Files made with TreePad take very little disk space, anyway, as compared to other programs. So, you can easily keep all the updates, each as a new branch of your main tree. Or else, you can replace the outdated nodes (branch), when you have a fresher version.

Whether you keep all the updates, by importing the new files you download into the original TreePad eBook, or you replace outdated nodes, or you import your notes and additions into every new update, or you enjoy it the most doing the updating yourself, or...there are a number of possibilities here for you, including just downloading MieNet's updates and enjoying them, with no additions of your own, on the TreePad Viewer that you download for free.
