The above Table: scoring data for each top Brazilian player, in a single World Cup.
Although Ronaldo has now become the greatest all-time World Cup scorer,
amid Brazilian strikers, Ademir de Menezes (1950) scored more goals
than Ronaldo, in a single World Cup!
The Real Madrid striker has also claimed the all-time Brazilian record.
Before the World Cup, Ronaldo had reportedly expressed the wish
at least to try to beat Pelé's 12-goal World Cup Brazilian record, which
Ronaldo had equaled in Korea-Japan, 2002, and now surassed, in 2006.
Please Note: On page All Time Greatest Scorers there is a small errata regarding
FIFA's 2006 World Cup Media Guide as released on June 11, 2006, in which
there is a mix-up as far as the number of Ronaldo's World Cup goals.
